Any star tracker, or smart telescope or Skywatcher AZGTI in equatorial mode, needs to be accurately polar aligned. This wedge fits between the tripod and mount to achieve that. Crafted with precision, it is well engineered for precise polar alignment. I have used both this and the Skywatcher equivalent, sometimes badged as "Star Field", and this one is far superior, being much more stable. The tightening knob has been replaced by a bolt, so it won't collide with the mount or smart scope, as it rotates above. It's not flawless cosmetically, but works perfectly .
